Re: Dark Souls: A dignified successor for BOD?

Concerning Overgrowth once more: you can adjust the running and attack speed of all characters. Tuning attack/combat speed down a bit feels like really good melee combat instead of button smashing (it's still alpha version with an instant and easy map editor).

Re: Dark Souls: A dignified successor for BOD?

Has anyone heard of the game Overgrowth? I just came across it yesterday and purchased/preordered the alpha. Every BOD fan must have seen it; even better: played. Ragdoll Ninja Rabbits. Unforgiving hard. Best to be played with a proper controller, such as the Xbox one (though I don't own a console)....

Dark Souls: A dignified successor for BOD?

Hey folks, should auld acquaintance be forgot? It's great to see this forum still being in existence and use. I've been part of the BOD/modding community some years ago. A few of you might remember. BOD is still the best game of it's genre. Though I've played (and mapped/modded for) it in..... uhmn,...

For some years I've been occupied with EverQuest II (mmorpg). And it will remain my main hobby. Maybe I will make a new small map but without enhanced scripting. Of course I kept all tools, scripts, maps and stuff of old times but it needs some time of research, remembering and testing how everythin...

Playing on modern machines

Hi folks. After some years now I'd like to fumble around with the greatest game of all times again, but I encounter some difficulties: * In 1600*1050 the graphics suck. It looks like Gameboy stretched to PC size (I could also live with windowed 1024*768). * The menu text is not readable. It is black...

I am completely out of the game. Haven't touched it since December 2004. Not because I don't want to have to do anything with it... it just happened. And I forgot almost everything about mapping and coding. I would even have to research how everything has to be installed and configured (concerning m...

Hi folks.

Hi folks. Can anyone remember me? It's me - the creator of mods like Swords&More or maps like AngelSteel. I'm really pleased that this forum still exists. I came across BOD videos on youtube and got remembered the good auld times. BOD ist still the best game of its kind and one of the best games eve...

I got stuck and dunno what to do. I have reached the prison of the dwarves right after the two Chaos Knights, which I have slain. They have no key. Hector tells me there is a beast to be bet behind the metal door to my right. But I dunno how to open that door (one has a lock - but I haven't got the ...

I have downloaded the zip file at least 3 three times and tried to unpack with several programms: WinRAR, WinZIP, TotalCommander.
Each decompression reports corrupt files.

Great, I can't connect to your servers and can't play the greatest map/mod (Fugitive3) ever. [xx(]
