Yes i saw that, disabling shadows on the torch itself does make the shadows behave better on other objects, but i'm still of the opinion that the torch should cast a shadow, why, because on my old torch system the shadow that it casts looks fantastic in some places see link below, btw I don't recomm...

Sir Random i don't know if is the same to you (didn't saw that in the video) but to me the shadow of the torch moves to much imo it needs to be more subtle. Hum, about the particles aren't they textured quads? If so the blend mods used on normal textures should work on them, at lest i think so but i'm no coder.

Goddammit Give me your mail then, ever since Megaupload was closed by the FBI that all the other file sharing services are like scare children, closing services and blocking people from using them, for example all american IP's are now blocked in almost European based file sharing sites.

Posting to say that my level is going, slowly but is going, below is the Beta 0.1 version of the map in .pk4 format for the ones that want to try it. The statue is a simple static model with a shadow mesh for optimization, the torch model is a prefab with sound, light and fire particle already included, to add it to the level i just use the "add prefab" tool of the DarkEditor. :)

Thanks man, yes is slow, first because is my first level design work ever, second because i'm working on and off on this, third because i'm experimenting with textures/shaders and how to best build the level and last i'm making all my static entities from scratch i don't want to use to much doom 3 s...
