Hi Pro,

Your... hu, new knight is really [:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D] euh... new design, isn't it[8D][:p]. But why did you provide so much free space between the two thighs [:0][:0][:D][:D]

[:)][:)]

Hi TP,

Some comments would be nice, but I would not dare to record them myself, my english accent is really too bad[:I][:I][:D][:D]. Writing with the french/english dictionnary in hand is a thing, speaking is an other one...[:o)]

Hello !

Pro,
Very embitious to create complette new mesh , i have try more time but never finish very hard to make good result .
My way more easy is to used some existing mesh ( comme from games or others ressources ...), for example NVN have a very big bank of Characters , objects ,...
An other way is to have a basic model and have a bank of human members and use the command replace by , so you can custom you mesh like NVN editor !

Big truck ,
You right , for me is the same my english accent is bad , I can't imagine canadien speaking french is already funny [:D]for french man so for english man ???[;)]
Serious , an other way is possible to add comment is to add text on video , more long but easy ...

Script in Max :
Very interesting way , i have make little code for automatise some reppet work , for example for build skeleton , we must :
_select a part
_hide others
_detach mesh
_atach mesh
_rename mesh
_unhide all
So minimum 6 steps , with my script just 2 step
_select a part
_press on a button call like the part you want to build
Dont need to hide others and already rename ,the time need to do with normal way is 10mm for a complette character , so with my scritp 1 mm is enough .
I will look for a script to make the linked parts in skeleton group .

Comming soon the Scripts , i will remake the tutorial when i have finalise the script will be more easy !

Hohoho.[:D]

I thought the (new) Legoman would give y'all a good laugh.[:p]

Actually , he does have a serious purpose. I wanted to make a char as basic as possible, the better to see how all the parts work with movement. He was made by starting with a simple box and extruding the faces so you get a continuous mesh. Then he is spilt up into the component parts. I am thinking that if you remove some faces in the Skeleton part, only the parts that remain will stay rigid in movement and the missing ones will stretch and deform in the Skin.

btw. I got the original Legoman working (nearly) OK, but his mesh was very untidy as I just made him quickly. I made him an Ally for testing and I was just looking at him thinking I had nearly got him right when a pesky orc sneaked up and killed him. [B)]

Keep up the good work TP. I will practice more mesh modelling techniques....[8)]

Aha! Mr. Legoman lives now[8D][:p]! No doubts that you will improve him now.

What kind of character do you want to do with your Legoman[8D][?]

[:D][:D][:D]Niceeeeeee[:D][:D][:D]

In french, when you have some very serious difficulties with somebody, we say: "on en voit de toutes les couleurs" -> translated in english: "we see all the coulours[8)][:o)]".

So, if that is the skin of the wounded parts of the body, I suppose you might have, somewhere, a frenchie in your ancestors[:D][;)]... or, if not, then maybe Mr. Legoman got stoned and you forgot to remove the hidden joints from his inventory[:D][:D]
