blood on character

blood on character

is there any way to remove the blood that appears on the character body when he/she take damage by editing files or other mods. i specially don't like the blood that appears on the character head.

Hi far_777, welcome to the forums.

The characters have two sets of textures, Normal and Wounded. You just need to replace the "Wounded" textures with copies of the "Normal" textures. The textures are .bmp files, but they are stored in .mmp files for the game, so you will need to extract the bmps, replace the Wounded .bmp textures, and then compile a new mmp.

The player textures are stored in:
Kgt.mmp
Amz.mmp
Bar.mmp
dwf.mmp

If you open the file Lib/Basic_Funcs.py on line 917 in the function RespondToHit

if DamageZone >= 0 and DamageZone < 32: me.SetWoundedZone(DamageZone, 1)

type a # in front of each line and this will disable the code that makes the wounds.
