Anyone got any sound FX files? .wav format. I'm looking for a sort of battle horn sound. I d/l some freebees from various sites. Mostly ship foghorns, but that's the type of thing I want. But they are all huge files. 500kb+. That's a bit big even for .wavs. Most of the RAS sound files are reasonably small. Tried editing them down a bit, but I don't know a lot about sound files.


Another strange thing...... Has anyone noticed some of the auras in the game are the wrong colour? I've noticed that the aura on the victims when you inflict a combo on them has a lot of bluey-white in it when it should be all red. Also the 'fire' aura from special fire damage does the same. It may be some OGL artifact or it could be I have inadvertently changed a setting in the files, but I have my doubts.

Just wondering? :D

prospero, what's your desired target duration and file size?

I'll try to search some useful war horn sounds. Anyway, If you have got a good sound and the only point is reducing file size, I can help you. Let me know.

Thanks MRC. Ideally I would like <100kb files. It's not a great problem but the map is getting big enough as it is and I'm trying to keep the weight down as much as possible.

The FIVpt1 working folder is presently about 100mb.
The release version will be smaller after I take out unecessary files, but it's still big. Good job the days of dial-up are past. :P

Did you know that BOD have been released in Good old Games?

It is a shame that they released it without any kind of support, and the bugs still in the game, the fog and all of that but at least is possible to acquire the game.

Another Fugitive episode would be fantastic. Your Fugitive mod was the first (non gladiator) map I tried. I still have fond memories of climbing about on the white citedal.

Look can you make Persian Atmosphere?? look, cuz BOD is all about of my ancient country!(Iran) do you know it???!!! so if you can make some persian story, atmosphere,... and if you don't know anything about Ancient Iran, I'll tell you. and next i have some Music about Atmosphere, war and something else that im uploading it; ill give you link and download it, i think they will help you...

Been a bit busy lately so no time for Bodding. :(

nima207. You should be able to do a Persian type atmos. BOD is very versatile for this. It's a question of balancing the Atmosphere colour/density with ambient light/external light settings. I would imagine the Oasis map is somewhere near. But I could be wrong. Never travelled to Iran. :(
