Uh, Hello MBK! I have a little problem with the mod :s I made a new game using Zoe. Then, I proceeded to Save the game, and tried to load it. It loads a bit (Probably 20% of the bar) and gets stuck/frozen once it says "Loading PickleObjects", or something like that. I tried reinstalling the mod (Having uninstalled the game, deleting the folder and then reinstalling the game, applying the 1.01 game patch, BODLoader, then pasting the mod itself) and it didn't seem to work.

After that I went to check if it was my game or the mod causing the problem, and started the game without the mod. Again made a new game, saved, and then loaded. There was no problem at all .-. so uh... I'm not really sure what to do.

(I could be able to explain myself better in Spanish, though I wanted this to be readable to the general audience :p)

Hello Darklen and thanks for your advice.

Sorry, due to complexity of the code mod, there are some maps that can not be saved-loaded... there are unknows errors. I already check all maps and I fixed some of them. It is a problem of the mod, not of the original game.
I don't know how to fix those maps well... But as you could see, may it be a conflict or code error, in the loading of the "PickleObjets"... However I can not find this things in the open code, python. :?
May be somebody wich knows how about this, could to fix it...


- Maps with some unknown error, where can not save-load: Marakamda, Tabriz Fortress, Karum Island, Nemrut Fortress, Temple of Al-Farum, Xathra Fortress, Temple of Blade, Tower of Dal Gurak, The infernal abyss.

- Maps thats works well, where you can save-load:
Kashgar, Khazel Zalam, Mines of Kelbegen, Tell Hallaf Fortress, Tombs of Ephyra, Shalatuwar Fortress, Passage of Orlok, Palace of Nejeb.

Well... In the extras menu, there are two options, you can use them if the game saved not loads well:
- No-load mode.
- Select map And hero.

Oh, alright :p. I just started a new game with Tukaram ._., I died too many times with Zoe xD.

(Also, I might have seem to notice there's something off with the Scythe and Eclipse [Both being Two handed Axes]. I think their hitboxes are uh... a little off. I could barely hit anything, even vases or barrels without using Crusher [Attack + LeftRight], this one being, at least for me, the only combo that seems to work ._.; All other attacks seemingly miss and may sometimes hit, but it's kinda difficult :o. Haven't tested yet with any other Two handed Axes/Clubs.)

Recently I did not have time to play your MOD, I just play for a while.
I play Amazon initial map. I think, we encountered the same problem (Darklen mentioned above).
This is just a small mistake.

Open EnemyTypes.py file, in the class Little_Demon, add a line of code:

It solves(You need to restart map). If someone found other errors, I think I can provide some help.
But I have to say, your texture, illustrations ... is great! :D :D

About the weapons, Scythe and Eclipse... I think that is due to the desing of the model 3D, I am not sure, or maybe another thing... I do not use those weapons because of that. For example I use the broadswords or the Rhino club.
Hum... yes, the game is very hard with the knight and the amazon... you should try it in warrior, or expert difficulties.
I like more the Barbarian and the dwarf, they are the most strong in close combats.
I like too the amazon with the bow and arrows, for far combat... she is very deadly. She is the most weak in close combat.
The knight is fast but he is complex to play well... he must use good twin weapons, ambidextrous, to win in a close combat...

Yeah! The map of Marakamda save-load well. :)
The console does not work, this is a very bad thing. Console is very important, it can easily interact with the game, to make some modifications in real time without reloading the map. :wink: :wink: But anyway, you are great! :) :)

Well! I checked all the maps, just save and load. Then found three errors in EnemyTypes.py file.

1) In the class Golem_clay
Function def __getstate__(self):

Fix:

Code: Select all

NPCPerson_state[1][me.Kind]=(self.AGE_Number)# MBEASTKING.
TO

Code: Select all

NPCPerson_state[1][me.Kind]=(self.AGE_Number,)# MBEASTKING.
Just add a comma, it relates to the type of value. Sorry I don't know how much you learn python syntax. :?
a=("test")
type(a) is string

a=("test",)
type(a) is tuple

Probably like this.

2) In the class Golem_lava
Same as above.

3) In the class DarkLord
Console message:

Move this line Enm_Def.NPCPerson.__setstate__(self,parm) to the top of the function def __setstate__(self,parm):

Then all the maps save-load well! :) :)

I see them. There was mistakes in the code, that I did not see before...
The errors are in:
ChaosKnight, line 1234. ---> Fixed.
Little_demon, line 2522. ---> Fixed.
Great_Demon, line 5557. ---> Fixed.
Darklord, line 6728... ---> Fixed.
Dalgurak, line 8570. ---> Fixed.
Golem_clay, line 10795. ---> Fixed
Golem_lava, line 11046. ---> Fixed.

Now all maps can be saved-loaded well. 8) :D

I am looking the code of the drwarf allies... AllyTypes.py AllyCombat.py and MagicAmulet.py ... Seems that the character "Enano1" is not used in there, but it use a class called DalSkel... In this class are __getstate__ and __setstate__ ... Seems I was not adapted well this code. :? Let's go to fix it then... :)

I will upload the version 1.5.2 as a patch.
That version fix the save-load option and another little things... Just it is a few files.
