I think I know what you mean - look around some more, there is another entrance to the caves near the ignorant woman's house. The stones you see is where you come out when finishing the quest.

I don't know if you got my email or not but it looks like some kind of game screw up. I'd ignore them.

I've heard that the European and American versions are slightly different. There's nothing like that in the U.S. issue of DTAG. Can anyone elaborate on what differences exist? I suppose you'd have to have played them both, tho... but lotsa folks out there are more ... shall we say... Continental... than li'l ol' me, so maybe someone's got the poop on that.

There isn't much between the US and European versions. The EU version came out later and had some of the bugs fixed that plauged the US version; for example the one where you loose Arokh when going into caves on your own when you are supposed to be on Arokh. This occurs between Ravenshold and the Northern Tundra and Surdana and Kragmoor. There is one fatal bug that still remains - if you jumop off Arokh near the lighthouse in Ravenshold, when you call Arokh you just get 'Arokh can't hear me here' resulting in a restart if you have no previous save.

Other than the bug fixes, as far as I know the two versions are the same.
