Frame Rate Problems

<font face="Tahoma">Anyone had problems playing the Stratos Level in Drakan TAG.
I'm in the room where you have to shoot the Red Crystals behind the Shield and then operate the levers to open the next portal where the giant Golems are.
At this point the Frame Rate on the PS2 drops to almost 1 or 2 per second even though sound seems ok.
Someone reckons this may be a heat problem within the hardware itself or possibly a bug in the program.
Anyone had similar problems

I have noticed that the frame rate does drop in one or two places in the game but not to that extent. The area you mentioned was OK when I played through so it could possibly be your console overheating. Do you get similar symptoms in other games?

Problem righted itself after console "cooled down", but never noticed it before in other games.
