skills for weapons

i got the game but got no gameplay book with it, ive just after killing bonegrinder and gone to the next level. i was wondering how to get my skill level for weapons higher its only at 1 now, so i can use better/stronger weapons, any help would be great thanks[:o)]

Your skill level increases as you kill enemies. The meter on the left of the screen which fills up blue or maybe its purple (I can't remember exactly) is your experience meter. When its full, you get the chance to spend your newly aquired skill point on either melee, archery or magic.

you dont get a new skill point intill you spend it in one of the 3 catagories by pressing the select button.
