Trouble starting new game

I was cleaning out some old games and came across Drakan. I now have Vista (ugh). The game installed fine, but when I pick new game and difficulty level, it keeps telling me to put the disc in. The disc is already in. Can someone help me get past this dead end?

Download and install the 445 patch and see if that helps.

Vista is reported to crash frequently with Drakan once you get it running. It may be OK on your machine though, let us know how you got on. One other thing is try running the game under compatibility modes for earlier operating systems e.g Win2000/XP if Vista has such a thing.
