Ravenshold skeleton statue

Post by Angel-NL »

So when you arrive in Ravenshold you will all notice the skeleton statue with a button on each side?

What do I do with it? I read it has something to do with those stones with red on it, looking like a compass?

The statue unlocks a door to a secret cave, which contains one of the fun, powerful unique weapons the game has stashed around for you.

The skeleton statue is part of a puzzle in the game which was, unfortunately, poorly implemented, and one of the puzzle pieces was omitted, while another was repeated.
The idea is to find the code sequence for the four buttons in the skulls on the side of the statue's base, which opens a nearby door to the game's only swimming puzzle. Clineschmidt's Blade, a very nice vampiric sword, is the reward.

The solution to the puzzle is expressed in compass directions (N.S.E.W.).
It's an eight part sequence to be pressed as fast as is reasonable. Here's the code:

S. E. E. W. S. N. N. S.

The statue faces East, so you know which direction is which.
If you push the wrong buttons in the sequence, wait a couple of seconds and restart the code.
You can't mess it up. The door WILL open when you input the correct code.

Inside is a swimming puzzle, one direction leads to a door in a cave with Wartoks and Frost Grull... the other leads to a room with a stone platform with columns surrounding a treasure chest at the center.
The chest contains Clineschmidt's Blade.... and the rest is self-explanatory.
