I bet people know about this, but I haven't read it anywhere (and i've read everything out). you can copy layers in maps by selecting a layer and ctrl-dragging it to another part of the map. then it can be rotated, retextured, flipped, re-sized, elevated or whatever. this can come in handy for those symmetrical multiplayer maps or maze maps or stuff.
