I was coming to the end of Kragmore playing as a Mage. I was at the entrance to the Giant cage with the platform at the top with all the wartocks standing around the arena. I powered up with Soul Steal and pointed Rynn a little right of center and let one fly without using a target lock. When the 'black snake' hit the wartock, he flinched and moved back a bit. No movement from the other wartocks. So I spent a little time picking all of them off with my silent killer leaving the center wartock untouched.

Powered Fireball and entered and killed the Giant. I thought Snotmaw looked a bit funny when he showed up but didn't really have time to ponder it for too long as he attacked. He was a tough little bugger too with plenty of hit points. I was using Fireball and Combust and he had flames on him for most of the fight. After the kill I went to collect his cleaver and then it struck me the wartock didn't have it, it was just the usual wartock weapon.

After checking the upper level, there was Snotmaw dead on the platform with his cleaver still in his hand. Oops.

I have always wondered how games 'handle' something like this when you kill an important character that appears in a sequence or cutscene later. Most would probably crash or said npc would not appear making a game breaking bug. Seems like Surreal may have thought of this if you killed Stotmaw before you were 'supposed' to. At least you were able to progress.

I was surprised the game didn't crash too. I think the character that showed up for the fight had all the hit points that Snotmaw usually has. He was pretty darn tough, tougher than the average Wartock. When I couldn't find Snotmaw's Cleaver I figured I really screwed the pooch and would have to reload a save game to continue.
