Hello everyone. I received this crash trying to run the game and wanted to share the fix for those of you that have the same issue

Reproduction steps

• Load Drakan

• Install the community patch

• Install the map pack

"I think the Map pack caused the problem"

• run the game

• click on a difficulty level.

• at this point the game disappeared with no visible error

• check windows event viewer and open the application logs to see the error

Solution

• Run or Rerun the Drakan Community patch installer

• When it asks you to Select Components, choose "Compact installation, contains only the files required to play Drakan"

Thanks for letting us know. It sounds like a bad map or one of the files that were changed in the patch. The developer of the community patch hasn't been on Discord for years now so this is very useful.
