Are you making a SP level series Keeper? Or just a single level?

It is possible as I've played PCL's with new voices. I don't know how to do it though but they certainly add to the total level size.

Have you modified your drakan.cfg file to point to the new master server? This will bring up some game servers. You could also use the program Drakstart to find games for you. No it shouldn't do that. Usually at the end of a PCL it returns to the beginning or loads level1 of Drakan. This is of course if its a single level, if its a multi level series then it should go to the next level automatically.

No, you are not hallucinating, this is a bug with the game. A lot of others have found it, but luckily it didn't happen to me. I think it depends on where you left Arokh before venturing off on foot.
