it is a great sword and requires skill of 3. Great vampiric special effect. It isn't listed in faqs guides. I think it is way better than flamestrike.
You can't be strict with it, because you can't get anything health-absorbing until after Shadowmire. Once you're out of the 'Mire, though... You can grab the Tick, work up your Magic to get the Soul Steal spell, and eventually get Skeletal Touch, Clineschmidt's Blade and Mournbringer. There's even an extra Skeletal Touch sword waiting for you in Stratos!
So yeah.... Rynn the Vamp.
If you REALLY wanted to push that, you could use the crack to get into the Valley of the Fallen right after Shadowmire, then Arokh would have the Vampiric breath attack as well.
