NICHOL'S TOME?

does anybody know what youre supposed to do with this? i picked it up in the shadowmire, and i can't sell it or anyhting.

in the shadowmire you were supposed to save nichols from the trogs and recieve a book called nichols tome you were supposed to go to the platform surrounded by pillars with strange markings on them and read the book opening the gate to the earth blade room protected by skeletons this room contains the earth blade one of the keys to getting the most powerful blade in the game the mournblade but if you have already returned to the blacksmith to try and sell it you most likely cannot return to the shadowmire due to the fact that the remaining trogs in the shadowmire have blocked the entrance by knocking down trees
